I smoke hamburger patties for about one hour then finish on the gas grill. I make a smoked meatloaf that is off the chain good.

I would suggest you build your favorite rub and just leave the salt out. I limit the salt in my rub.

My 1500 Pro has two wood ship boxes. Can I add water to one to help with the moisture?
