Default Recommended BBQ & Smoker Utensils Kit?

Hey guys, I'm the proud owner of the Pro Series 1400 and we also have a Weber Summit out back too. One thing that we haven't got really are the correct utensils for the job. We've kind of been managing with some old hand-me-downs from my father and although we've been managing just fine, I would really like to find a nice set of tools that I can utilize for both the smoker and the barbecue as I know it will ultimately make our lives easier. I've been browsing the internet looking at the different barbecue utensils and barbecue accessories for sale, checking out reviews, but I'm in need of some inspiration. I'm mainly after the essentials but if there is anything that would make my life easier that I probably wouldn't have considered, then suggestions would be great. I know that everyone is going to have their own opinions on this so that's why I was keen to find out what people here thought. So, if anyone has anything to input, that would be awesome, thanks!, Earl

The 3 top in my humble opinion would be:
    1) Thermapen from thermoworks.com
    2) either a (Maverick ET732, 733, or 735) or better a tappecue
    3) Frogmats

Note: the frog mats can not be used over open flame or over 500*
The ET or tappecue probes can not be used over open flame

The #1 thermapen is my most used accessory for both grill and smoker.

Hope this helps you and many others chime in.

I did come across the Thermapen when I was having a little look myself so its good to here your endorsement, might just be the first item on the shopping list.

    I am with EFGM.

I use a Thermapen daily, even in the house. I would be lost without it, seriously.

I also love my Maverick 732. Again, dependent.

The only thing I have not tried is the Frogmats. I have plenty of frogs in my garden, so I am not sure I am missing out
