FYI
During the Thanksgiving Holidays i cook for my whole family from far and wide.
I spend several days preparing for this holiday meal.
The Menu reads:
- 20-25 pound Turkey (Roasted in the oven, not smoked yet!!! But soon)
- Gravy
- 6 - 8 pound Ham
- Mashed Potatoes
- Sweet Potatoes
- Green Beans
- Broccoli & Cheese
- Mac & Cheese
- Corn Bread Dressing (For the normal guest)
- Stuffing (For the Yankee's amongst us)
- Deviled Eggs
- Pumpkin Pie
- Apple Pie
- Pecan Pie
- Hot Rolls
Now it was a juggling act before I purchased my SmokinTex 1400 and cart.
I roll it in to the kitchen and set the temp to 130 and Bingo my own holding warmer.... I then Unplug it and and roll it into the dining room where I then we place the warmed dishes on the table and ring the dinner bell....
I want to test it as a proofing box soon.... Has anyone done that yet??
